General Loader v2.0

What is General Loader v2.0?

AtGames are currently building the second version of the General Loader software (aka 'External Applications').

This version 2.0 has features requested by Nix and the Wizard team, and enables us to add fantastic new functionality to the Table Manager & Wizard!

We need to test this thoroughly before we release VPXS to the general public!

How to join the GL v2.0 beta

To get this new firmware early, and help us test it, you will need to join AtGames beta.

How to join:

Step 1) Visit https://www.atgames.net/

Step 2) Sign into your AtGames account

Step 3) Click the Account button at the top right

Step 4) Click 'Devices'

Step 5) Toggle 'Beta Program' on your 4KP.
If you have multiple devices, it will be the one that starts with 99.
You can find a guide to find your UUID here

Note: If your 4KP is not showing on the page but other Legends devices you own are, remove any device that is not a 4KP. This should free up a slot in the beta list and show a new device. Keep removing devices if you need to until you see your 4KP listed.

Step 6) Restart your 4KP. Once it's back on, you should see a firmware update! Make sure you are logged in and connected to the internet.

It is then finally time to install the latest version of the Table Manager onto your USB drive!

Please first review the warnings directly from Nix:

GL 2.0 will be the only supported version of VPX Standalone and Table Manager. You will be required to update to the beta firmware to continue beta testing VPX Standalone.

If you decide not to install the beta firmware, that's fine. You'll have until July 22nd to continue using the software you currently have. The Wizard will stop working today, but the launcher will continue working until the 22nd. I will not be releasing any further updates or expiration extensions for the current version.

You will be required to wipe your drives. Your current tables will not work with the DRM in the GL 2.0 release. All tables need to be reinstalled through Table Manager. Any backups you have will not work and cannot be restored.

The only file that can be backed up is the vpx-sessions.json in the root of your drive if you want to retain your play history dashboard.

While the beta firmware has an annoying "piracy" warning when launching External Applications, it's otherwise working fine for everyone who has tried it.

If you choose to continue, first thank you, and second your devices will still need to be online at least once every 2 weeks. This really shouldn't be an issue since Table Manager requires internet to be functional. Your device will be issued a license which expires in 14 days. This license will auto renew for as long as you meet the requirements for the beta so no more "expired launchers".

DRM is super strict. All files contain DRM and file integrity is checked everywhere! If you install a file using the Wizard you cannot modify it afterwards. If you plan on modifying tables, you'll need to use the Manual Install instead. DRM violations are detected locally and your device will self-ban using the devices secure storage.

DO NOT:

- Share any files with any other users
- Use a drive on any other cabinets but the one it's registered to
- Modify any of the VPX files on your drive after install


There are no second chances with DRM violations (there weren't before either).

It will be solely my discretion whether or not a violation is a bug or a feature.

If you would like to save your vpx-sessions.json, open up the TM and download a copy onto your PC. Once you have the new Table Manager version you can paste it back onto the drive.

How to install the latest Table Manager

Note, while the software is still in beta, you will have to have the GL Beta role on your Discord account to gain access.

Once the software is installed on your USB Drive, you will need to log into your Discord account so that we can verify your drive.

Simply follow the below link, click Install, and follow the instructions!

If it's not working, make sure you are using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Some Chromium based browsers like Brave won't work and Safari on Mac definitely won't work.
